Boerewors and mash

Ingredients:

  • Boerewors
  • Onions
  • Oil
  • Spices
  • Potatoes
  • Milk
  • Salt and pepper
  • Gravy powder

Method:

  • In a frying pan, fry the onion in the oil until soft.
  • Add the boerewors and spices.
  • Cover the pan and cook on a medium to low heat.
  • While the boerewors is cooking, peel the potatoes and boil them in a pot.
  • When cooked, drain the water, keeping the potatoes in the pot.
  • Use a masher to mash the potatoes.
  • Add three tablespoons of milk and some salt and pepper. Mix well.
  • Mix the gravy powder according to instructions on the packet.
  • Add to the boerewors and stir until thick.
  • Place the mash on a plate and pour the gravy, onions and boerewors on top.
  • Delicious!
