Xabisa Dambuza,14 of Matatiele in the Eastern Cape, enjoys being with her friends, reading – and that includes the ReadRight magazine – high jump and hockey. She has been in the first team in hockey since she was very young. She enjoys pizza and sweet chilli chicken stir-fry as well as movies. When it comes to environmental issues, besides caring for animals, which is her passion, Xabisa is involved with donations of money and clothing to the local orphanage and welfare home centre. “My mission is to help those who suffer from disease and cannot help themselves. I would also like to help stop crime. Sometimes my age counts against me, especially at school. But enjoy this kind of work.”

The Supermuny sisters, Chey-Lee, 6 and Lee-Anne, 10 of Benoni, both love swimming and having cycle races on their bikes. They write: “Our motto for the week is to Love Thy Neighbour as Thy Self, and to care and always share with one another”. “Thy” is a Biblical word for “your”, so in today’s words their motto is: Love your neighbour as yourself.
